What is a Flex Outlet Plate?
Flex Outlet Plates are also known as Cable Outlet Sockets. These plates are used when wiring an appliance typically under a unit or worktop where the isolator is located elsewhere. They usually have a hole in the front plate and each plate has 4 terminals on the back that wire via a screw connector. You will also find an earth connection. The flex would be secured using the cable clamp also located on the back. The connectors are rated to accept a maximum load of 20 amps. Remote isolation or fused protection is required via a Spur Connection Unit or back at the consumer Unit. We recommend 25mm deep wall boxes for mounting our Flex Outlet Plates. Ideal For Our Wood Panels

We have been searching for sockets to go with the wood panelling and these are ideal. Not only do they match the panelling the wood surround lifts the socket away from the panel so they do not mark or damage the wood.
